IN HONOUR OF MY LITTLE PRINCE, JAMES.
THANK YOU TO ALL AT HAREFIELD HOSPITAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
In Memory of
On December 3rd 2019 my eldest son, James, collapsed in the street. His heart had stopped and he went into Cardiac Arrest. He was just 18 Years young and there were no health issues before hand. This is what is known as Sudden Adult Death Syndrome.
Because of the actions of a courageous young man, only 19 himself at the time James made it to Harefield Hospital, one of the UK's specialist heart and lung centres and renowned around the world for their speciality care. The young man passing by performed CPR on James until the first Ambulance arrived. Working together with a second Ambulance Crew the paramedics continued to attempt to resuscitate James at the road side. Finally he was rushed to Harefield Hospital.
Whilst this was happening I was travelling back from The Bangkok Motor Show where I had been working with and representing Royal Alloy. As we landed at Abu Dhabi Airport to change planes for London my phone started to ring. What followed was the longest seven hour flight I have ever taken, leading to the longest four weeks of all our lives.
For exactly four weeks the Consultants, Doctors and Nurses did everything that they could for James whilst he remained battling for his life in intensive care. Ultimately and devastatingly for myself and my family, James lost his battle on 31st December 2019.
We continue to endure the pain that such a loss brings but we have not and will never forget James' courage and strength through out and the care, professionalism, and genuine love displayed by all members of the ICU Team. With such specialist care, with such fantastic staff, and with support from both us and you, The Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospital Trust continues to treat patients, save lives, and help families who have suffered loss there after.
With this I have introduced the "James Bradley Series" of Scooters and Motorcycles from which handsome donations are made to RBH in honour of our little Prince. Our website will now continue to carry the Purple Heart which when clicked will take you to our Fund Raising Page. Together we can help RBH help others in need of the specialist care that they can offer.
Thank you for taking the time to read this page.
All you need is love!
